面試常見問題：TPM, Program Manager
在分享TPM vs. Program Manager 的差別時我有提到，這兩個工作最大的重點其實是類似的，就是要把事情搞定，差別是把什麼樣的事搞定罷了。因此，我覺得TPM or Program Manager 面試時重要的 leadership principle 應該差不多，包含：
- Earn Trust
- Deliver Result
- Bias for Action
- Deep Dive
- Ownership
這是幾個我在面試時可能會問的問題
1) Give me an example that you missed a deadline.
a) Why did you miss the deadline?
b) How did you communicate with your stakeholders?
c) How did you set a new deadline?
d) What’s your lessons learned?
2) Give me an example you led a very complicated project.
a) What’s the most complicated piece?
b) Why is it complicated?
c) How did you handle it?
d) Did you receive any push back? How did you handle it?
3) Give me an example you were assigned to deliver a project without much information.
a) What are the first things you did? Why?
b) What did you do to clarify the confusion?
c) How did you communicate the progress with your stakeholders?
4) Give me an example you asked a lot of why to identify the root cause of a problem.
a) How did you identify what questions to ask?
b) Give me an example that ppl were telling you different stories. What did you do to clarify?
c) What did you do after the identified the root cause?
d) What did you do to make sure the same problem would not occur again?
